“Beautiful Refuge”
I am late writing this review. I had the little double room on the top floor overlooking the sea with a balcony. It was beautiful and soothing to have the sea especially given my circumstance. After my first night I was awoken by a terrible call from home – my life partner had unexpectedly died at our home that night. In my grief the staff stepped up appropriately to make sure I was comfortable. The sea did it’s magic. I couldn’t have driven back to Paris to fly home that day if I had wanted so it was the perfect place for a broken heart. And of course I recommend it to those with good hearts as well. I only ate at the hotel and the dinner on the deck was very good.

“Charming Hotel”
This small hotel was everything I would look for to reflect a French experience. A little bit quirky but eminently welcoming. We ate an excellent seafood dinner overlooking the seafront watching the sun go down and then retired to a basic but comfortable room with bed linen of the highest standard. The seafront terrace was a little too chilly for us but nevertheless attracted a good number of customers wrapped up against the early Autumn chill. We chose not to have breakfast as we were leaving on the morning boat to Portsmouth but it looked to provide an extensive choice of good quality. The staff were friendly and helpful.

“Great location, cozy hotel”
The hotel has his charm, location is excellent and evenings in the hotel restaurant were just amazing. We were really surprised how beautiful is the town. The hotel wasn’t expensive and the room was clean.

“Charming Hotel With Lovely Food and Great Sea Views”
We really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely come back . We have already started planning next year’s holiday and will make sure we travel through St Malo so we can stay at Les Charmettes again.
The only slightly low mark I’ve given is for the room as it was very small but the view of the beach/sea was fantastic and completely worth the small room. (Also it’s obviously a historic building and the rooms are what they are)
We ate on the terrace. The food was lovely – the menu is small and simple but everything we had was delicious. It really is a lovely place to eat on a warm evening as the sun sets over the sea.

“Venue for Birthday Party”
We enjoyed a lovely meal and an overnight stay at this unique and stylish hotel and we were also guests at a 50th Birthday party at this hotel. The location is ideal for a beach holiday and is within walking distance of the historic city of Saint Malo and the ferry port which we used to travel from Portsmouth to Saint Malo. The staff provided an attentive and professional service and added to the enjoyment of our break here. The location is idyllic and the sea view from our 1st floor room with a balcony was sublime. I would thoroughly recommend a stay here and we would love to return again some time.

“Holiday”
Fab location , right on the beach front . We all mangered to go surfing before dinner. Staff so helpful and friendly, all could speak English. Wonderful food and wine menu. Rooms perfect – they even had the chargers on the plugs in the rooms for I phone etc

“Visit Les Charmettes”
The hotel and car park not too easy to find as the streets round there are very narrow.. The room with a sea view was small but the view made up for that, it was fantastic. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant good

“Recommendation from a friend and will definitely recommend to all”
We were suppose to stay for only 2 nights and we ended up coming back for a few days at the end of our road trip through Brittany. It was honestly everything we were hoping for in Brittany. Seaside hotel, waking up with the sunrise and the refreshing sea breeze in the morning. The kindness of the locals. The amazing food and freshness of the seafood. I was finally able to have the Shellfish tower I was looking for and eating it on the patio there it was an experience to remember. It was the only patio in the area that was full of people at night during a September evening. The owners were amazingly nice and even had us stay at their place when there was no room available for a night

“Pleasant stay by the seaside”
Les Charmettes is a delightful small hotel that we would recommend to anyone visiting the St. Malo area. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful with advice about getting around to all the local attractions. What was particularly enjoyable was sitting on the terrace overlooking the sea in the evening after a hard day’s sightseeing- even when the weather was cooler – blankets were supplied

“Charming boutique hotel on beautiful beach”
A small charming hotel facing the beautiful Sillon Beach with the historic intra muros town within sight. Great breakfast, very friendly staff and amazing atmosphere.
We stayed for two nights but would love to have stayed longer.
